Typical and Traditional Designs of Espresso Cups

By Claude Kelley

Coffee is the usual partner of most people in the morning. With cream, dark, or sweetened - people have their own taste when it comes to coffee drinking. Some would even own beautiful cups that are exclusive only for their coffee.

Espresso got its name from the process that the coffee beans have to undergo. These dark coffee beans are being placed in a special machine where they will be pressed out. In Italian, espresso means "pressed out". If the process is successfully done, a rich dark coffee with froth on top is what will be served to you using espresso cups.

An espresso cup traditionally comes in porcelain. They have the size that can hold up to 3 ounce amount of coffee. The cup with matching saucer is what a perfect espresso tool must be like. Plain colored or fancily designed, the overall outer appearance of an espresso cup is also evolving.

Since espresso cups have various designs, you can choose your very own cup that will go with who you are. Whether you are a simple one, the plain white is going to be perfect for you. If you want to add some twist to your cup, you may choose the glossy colored ones. For a more exciting cup design that matches your enthusiastic behavior, those printed ones are right for you and enjoy your next espresso time.

Both the handle and the rim of the espresso cups vary. Even if the handle comes in a square shape or elegantly curved, or even if the rim is round or squarely shaped, those cups have one thing in common and that is their traditional function to accommodate the espresso coffee.

Whether you are drinking your espresso at home, in a restaurant, or in a caf, part of the coffee serving is its presentation. Aside from the optional toppings that you want to add in your coffee, the design of the cup also counts. Digital-painted, traditional hand-painted, plain, or colored - this factor adds an impact the cup.

If you choose to have those printed espresso cups, you may find choosing the most beautiful design enjoyable. The traditional espresso cup is commonly painted with a city or any nice scenery. You may find a good view of an Italian city designed in your cup if you want to. For a simpler design, you may want to choose the cup that has a certain word (such as espresso) written on it.

Stainless steel and glass are also the materials that are being used in making an espresso cup. Though you may not have an authentic espresso moment when you use a paper cup with lid, paper espresso cup is also being considered to go on with the flow of the fact paced world that people live in today.
