At the last minute, the Dolphins decided to sign Chad Pennington, a quarterback who had been released from the Jets just days before. And boy, are they happy they did.

The duo of Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams really came together. This opened up a ton of room for Chad Pennington as well. Anthony Fasano also stepped up as one of the top TE's in the league. What a year it was!

The QB is the most valuable position and when your starter goes down for the year, it could cripple your team for weeks and maybe the entire year. The Dolphins were already one of the worst passing teams in the NFL with their chosen starter. The Dolphins defense is in the lower half in the league but good against the run.

After controlling the ball for 45 minutes against the Indianapolis Colts on Monday Night Football, the Dolphins could not secure the win, heartbreaking no doubt. I really thought they would get the W.

The Dolphins are in a very tough division when you consider they have to play the New England Patriots and New York Jets twice a season. However, this division is up for grabs, even with Tom Brady back in action.

The Dolphins won the division in 08', but New England's QB Tom Brady was out the entire year and New York Jets QB Brett Favre was also hurt in the second half of the season - now, the rest of the division has improved. The Dolphins have more questions then answers at this point.

The Dolphins' Week 2 match-up wasn't much better, as a disheartening loss during the last minutes of the game dropped the team to 0-2. The Colts are a tough opponent, but the Dolphins needed that win badly. Better luck next week perhaps?

David Garrard seems to improve a bit with each season. I've always thought he's one of the smarter QBs in the league, but hasn't had much help around him. That may change this season.

The team acquired pro bowl wide receiver Torry Holt, and despite the absence of Fred Taylor, Maurice Jones-Drew is one of the finest talents at the running back position in the NFL, and this would be his year to fully shine. A few other key acquisitions bolstered a roster that looked like it was ready to contend.

The Jaguars lost a very tough game in Indianapolis against the Colts to open up their 2009 football season. The Jaguars always seem to give the Colts a hard time, but this would obviously be a challenge, especially considering where the game was played.

QB David Garrard was supposed to take that leap into one of the elite quarterbacks in the NFL, he is yet to take his game to the next level and has become and average QB. If this is Garrard's fault or the fact he has no play-makers other then MJD remains to be seen.

Things didn't look good for the Jaguars in week two either, as they lost to the Cardinals by fourteen points. With a match up against the Texans next, more challenges await.

The Jaguars must make things happen in the very near future so MJD's talents do not go to waste for a team that is going nowhere fast.
