Some Definitive Movie Synopses

For years now, the video store was the way to get movies. You can now save a trip to the video store and download movies right off the internet. Following is a list of a few movies that you can get using a movie download site.

Just for You: Tangy lyrical of creator Crosby who might be bothered with his growing kids, until Wyman shows him the way. Delightful Harry Warren-Leo Robin score, highlighted by "Zing a Little Zlng." Cast includes Bing Crosby, Jane Wyman, Ethel Barrymore, Bob Arthur, Natalie Wood, and Cora Witherspoon, Regis Toomey. (104 minutes, 1952)

Big Trouble: Harried coverage sales associate Arkin needs money to send his 3 sons through Yale, so he gets to be engaged with ditsy D'Angelo in a plot to slaughter her loony spouse (Falk). This is pretty stupid stuff, albeit the sardine-flavored liqueur does grant a few giggles. Andrew Bergman wrote the script under the name Warren Bogle. Cast includes Peter Falk, Alan Arkin, Beverly D'Angelo, Charles Durning, Robert Pile, Paul Dooley, Valerie Curtin, and Richard Libertini. (93 minutes, 1985)

U-571: It is 1942 and the German's are dominating the battle of the Atlantic with their U-boats. In a desperate attempt to change the war, a vintage WWI submarine, the S-33 is given a dangerous and difficult assignment. Steal an Enigma machine, which codes all the German communications, in such a way that the Germans don't even know that it has even been stolen.

A Different Story: Gays Baron and Foster get wedded to stop his deportation and then fall in love. Although the first half is surprisingly excellent, the film succumbs to conventionality. Foster is wonderful. Cast includes Perry Emperor, Meg Foster, Valerie Curtin, Peter Donat, Richard Bull, and Barbara Collentine. (108 minutes, 1978)

Raising-Cain: Lithgow is the entire show here. He literally has more roles than you might tally in this over-the-top thriller in reference to a set of double brothers who'll halt at nothing to acquire kids for their dad's theological trials and errors. Tongue-in-cheek De Palma workout with nods to Hitchcock, Welles, and Michael PowelI is laced with satire, although the Hurt who couldn't give his spouse the one thing he desires most: a youngster. Cast includes John Lithgow, Lolita Davidovich, Steven Bauer, Frances Sternhagen, and Gregg Henry. RT. (95 minutes, 1992)

Casper: Casper is a friendly ghost that lives in a haunted house, Whipstaff Manor. The owner of Whipstaff Manor has sent Dr. Harvey, who is accompanied by his daughter Kat, to remove all the ghosts from the house, so she can recover the treasure that is supposedly in the old manor. What will be poor Casper's fate?

Good Guys Wear Black: Norris hops hoofs first through a windshield and bullies to reorganize the face of bellman Backus-all in the name of nationwide security. Stupid partisan paranoia thriller passes time effortlessly enough. Cast includes Ditch Norris, Anne Archer, James Franciscus, Lloyd Haynes, Dana Andrews, and Jim Backus.(100 minutes, 1979)

Defenseless: Anticipation thriller in which lawyer Hershey finds her customer ~d lover killed-and finds herself not only speculated of the offense, although stalked by a bizarre slaughterer. Not poor, and a excellent showcase for a first-rate cast, particularly Hurt, who gnaws the landscape in a change-of-pace part. Cast includes Barbara Hershey, Sam Shepard, Mary Beth Hurt, J. T. Walsh, Kellie Overbey, and Sheree North. (104 minutes, 1991)

The Terminal: On a trip to New York from his homeland in Krakozhia, Viktor Navorski finds, upon arriving New York that his passport in now invalid. There has been a coup, and no one recognizes his country anymore. He is stranded, in limbo, in the international lounge until a solution can be found. Days become weeks, with no resolution in site for poor Viktor.
